J deserves a knock on the head.

An ignorant prayer from a ignorant person.
"Lord purify me, let me lead a life that is pleasing to you..."

What's too difficult for me to let go? Hoho, loads.. I just found out too WAHHH!
*sobbing bitterly...*

I need more time Lord.. seriously.. You are pointing out too quickly, I need time to react and obey....
Or am I just being stubborn? Probably the latter.

*eyes wide shut* Do it Lord just do it!

Let His word speak forth.

Verse of the day:

Galatians 6:7-9 (New International Version)

7Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Faith

Just a random thought after reading serveral blogs of wives praising their husbands, so why pastors and leaders make such a great husband? After you have won the heart of God, it wouldn't be hard for you to win your wife's heart especially with God by your side :)

Was scrolling through George's book libary yesterday after a Shep session. This book in particular caught my eye, a book by Smith Wigglesworth, entitled Faith!

I have heard so much testimonies on him, of mighty revivals, raising the dead, miraculous signs, who else can be more qualified to talk about Faith apart from this man of God? Jesus? David? Moses? haha ok sidetracking.
But yeah you get my drift.

So I sat on the couch and started reading the book.. reading reading reading..
Praise God I manage to finish the book before lifegroup starts, I should make this a habit spending hours in george's place just leeching off his book collection lol.

I love his statements not george's but smith's,

"Faith is not about what we think, but about what we know."
Yeah often in our own limited mind we often think that nah that's impossible, that's not for me but we yet to realise that we are serving a God of "Nothing is impossible"

here's another one
"If you don't see me talking to men, I am talking to God."

I was like wow. That's a life of worship! I want that kind of relationship with God too! Quiet time x infinity.

No wonder he did so much miracles in his lifetime.

Then comes this verse.

Rom 14:23b "..everything that does not come from faith is sin."

What! haha no wonder we're called sinners,
A conversation with the guys yesterday at hungry jacks, reminiscing our younger days where we use to challenge our friends to do wierd stuff like walking up to a total stranger and make funny faces, Singing in the cinema etc etc.

I randomly commented "oh I miss those days, I don't mind doing it again :) Its so fun!"

But hey didn't God provide this opportunity for us? As Pastor Wen An said to Samuel as he's deciding whether or not to stay or leave brissie, "I can promise you a Faith adventure!" This faith adventure is not only for Samuel but for all of us Christian. Since everything we do without faith is sin! Everyday of our life should be a faith adventure. Instead of making funny faces to a total stranger, its sharing the gospel to him, instead of singing in the cinema, its healing the sick next to the ticket booth. Who says being a christian is boring?

Isn't that what it meant by living on the edge, one can never truely experience God until he/she step out of his/her comfort zone. And yeah just like I got use to leading discussion after a few tries, I think I can get use to this faith adventure that God's planning for me to embark on! WOoHoo!

Childlikeness

Change is the only constant in life. If I hadn't accidently overwrite my template I would not bother to create a new one.

Not bad, efficiency increased. Managed to recover most of my stuff and yeah.

Remembering a few days ago I blogged about putting away childish things, but yeah not everytime being a child is bad.

Matthew 18:3-4
3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

The word heavenly Father seems to make more sense now. We can't wholeheartedly follow God until we recognise Him as our Father.

He is a Father who will never go against His word, One that is concern and takes care of every aspect of our lives.

Looking at the verse 1 Sam 17:45
45 David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied."

Remembering the days when I'm young, ahem, of course I'm still young but yeah my younger days as a kid, I always like to scare the other kids whenever they come and try to bully me, "My daddy policeman, he will come and catch all of you!"

We always like to use our dads as backing as they are our source of security. But hey, now as a christian, I've a bigger and mightier dad! His name is to be and will be feared by all the nations!

Rom 12:19
19Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.

Heh. That's my dad!

1 Corinthians 13:11

"When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things."

Waaaa... This is probably one of the hardest command. The joy of being a child, the days of whinning, the times of escaping responsibilities with a smile, the times of recieving and recieving and not giving haha and those those acting cute times where my new hairstyle didn't help.

Before:

After:

ok not much difference huh.. haha I am such an overgrown child. sigh. haha.
O well time to grow up J, 23 years of being a kid is enough.

Another phase. Another step forward.

Its so sad when my sis my own sis define me as a "stalker-ish", "bully" and a graffiti word "meanie". Well, then again who else would say such words? I am such a nice guy lor.. lol.

Just love talking to my sis on the phone while browsing through her facebook profile nominating weird superlatives for her, its so fun! I love you dear :)

Sigh, the semester is coming to an end... Another phase of life, a life of independence, a life in the vast merciless world. Was asked the other day, "will you be an accountant?" Frankly, I don't know. I've got so many dream jobs and yeah sadly accounting is not one of them. Tell me to sit on a desk for hours doing P&L or auditing through records, I can't do that! I will probably mixed up the numbers or fall asleep within the first hour.

Its just like my diploma, I gave up on IT after my Dip. Programming is just not for me, and after 2 years in UQ studying accounting, I don't think accounting is for me either. Felt so much like my sis now, what you are going to do when you work? I dunno..

I am probably those child where parents will say "Mei Chu Xi De Dong Xi" (a.k.a unless one) Yeah but of course not mine :) I know my family would respect whatever my decision will be.

Let me share with you some of my dream jobs,
1. I remember when I am taking my driving lessons, I went about telling people the pros of driving, "Hey you can be a taxi driver when you can't find a job next time :)" Why not? People are forced to sit with you for the entire journey listening to you preach the entire book of Romans to them.

2. Oh Oh haha my recent one, being a forklift driver. Was shopping at brisbane market with Cait and Sunita for grocery for the advance. Those fortlifts really amazes me, sharp turns, fast reverse driving and amazing precision. COOL but after seeing how grumpy they are, nah out of my list. I don't want to be a grumpy old man.

3. A chef, I still like this one, so cool learning to cook all your favourite dishes, being able to improvise and come up with all sorts of wierd cruisines. Yeah but still am far from that probably have to take a lesson or 2 on cooking first.

4. Housing agent, somehow the thought of traveling around showing people house is kinda cool and meeting different people everyday.

*Bubble* *Bubble* *Bubble*
Recalling again, coming for the slackest vocation in the army, clerk! We always a lot of time thinking of such thing, remembering, me, ed, shahid, hadi, and yi an sitting on the table at the canteen thinking on what's the slackest job that we could take. I think we came with a conclusion "bus driver" haha

Yeah.. I never believe in toiling day and night to earn the big bucks, spending time with my God, family and friends is a million times more important. Afterall Mt 6:33 promise that if I put God first all my needs will be met :)

OH well. Though my future is still uncertain. but yea, one thing I know, I will choose the path that will bring me closer to my heavenly Father.

I love the analogy Steven came up with, decribing us christians as soon to be Knights and Lord God our King.

Quote : "Only when called by the King to step forward and receive the honor of knightship, should the person comes before the King. Otherwise, the person should continue to train to be a knight."

Back to training school for me!

A relationship with God.

Christianity should never be a pursuit of science or a believe out of fear and the eternal condemnation in hell. I wouldn't say anyone of them is wrong but the above 2 reasons should never be your core motivation to go to church on Sunday or even to be a christian. FEAR and interlectuality(if there's such a word) would not bring you far in your walk. Beating a child for would only stop him from commiting the same mistake when you are around but when you're not, hor hor...Likewise if its all in a mind, a new information might stumble you until you have proven it wrong(though the bible is infalliable but then we should not live our life proving things which God has already proven true). But when a boy is in loves with a girl, you don't need to teach him what or when to do, automatically comes the flowers, chocs, candlelights, music, songs, fireworks, hotair baloons, haha. ok u get the point.

Thus the source of our motivation must start and end with a love relationship with our heavenly Father Himself. An encounter with Him can and will replace all those interlectual stuff you read.

Knowing that He has always the best plans for our lives and that if we live our lives according to His will, we'll definately live a blessed life reaching our full potential in Christ.

John 15:5
I am the vine; your are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Yes! And if you carefully study the scripture, most blessing has a prerequisite.

Joshua 1:8
8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. THEN you will be prosperous and successful.

John 15:7
7 IF you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

Deuteronomy 7:12-15
12 IF you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the LORD your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your forefathers. 13 He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land—your grain, new wine and oil—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that he swore to your forefathers to give you. 14 You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or women will be childless, nor any of your livestock without young. 15 The LORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you.

John 14:23
23 Jesus replied, "IF anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

Reminds me of my programming days all the IF and ELSE clauses

Yeah its spoken quite clearly in the scriptures, so if you plan walk your own way, don't bother praying for God's blessings. Harsh, but true.
